Thank You Donors and Walkers!!

Well, we did it!! We followed up on our commitment to community service that we started in 2018. On Sunday, April 14, families from the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church School raised over $1,200 and participated in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk of Pittsburgh. Over fifty of us gathered on several different teams for a significant cause ... supporting a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are proud that former HTC Church School graduates Dustin and Vincent Defebo, their “better halves” Megan and Leigh Ann respectively, and countless of their Serbian Orthodox friends are leaders of this event locally. Neither rain nor cold dampened our spirit … we even found time for a little post walk luncheon under the Fort Pitt Bridge!! Thank you to Rada O’Shea and Julie Winovich for doing a fantastic job organizing our team!!
